IELTS Writing Task 2

Response: Some people believe that competing with others in studying, working, and generally in our every aspects of our lives is a positive act, while others argue that people should work together and collaborate instead. In my opinion, although competitions can be beneficial to a certain extent, cooperation can be more effective and more advantageous. On the one hand, competitions can motivate individuals to thrive in their studies or professions. Motivation contributes to enhanced performances and surpassing other people in the field. This happens because individuals compare themselves to others and analise other's actions to do better than them. Competition can also happen while people compare their past self to the person they have become at the present, therefore they can see how much they grew and work on their weaknesses. Therefore, productivity would improve as people try to achieve higher positions and attainments, and personal and public growth would happen along together. Cooperation, on the other hand, is more beneficial because people tend to help and assist eachother in hardships and difficalties. Individuals can ask for guidence about their problems, and they will be sure that there is always someone to support them and give advice. In addition, when people work in a team, they divide the necessary tasks and responsibilities, so in this way projects may complete in a faster pace while being more reliable, considering the fact that several people had worked on them before and removed almost all the mistakes. All these reasons lead to a safer environment for everyone to thrive peacefully with other people's collaboration and assistence. I believe that competiton can be less productive than cooperation. The reason is that, when people compete with their colleagues or classmates, they compare their abilities and actions to people who have completely different abilities and backgrounds, and this leads to increasing anxiety, self doubt, and serious mental issues. As a result productivity and efficiency would considerably decline. So I think cooperation is a better choice. In conclusion, While competing with our classmates and other people can benefit us, I believe that cooperation is more effective and creates a safer environment to grow.

Response: Some people believe that when some professionals, such as doctors and engineers complete their studies should work where they had been trained, while others believe that they should be free to make a decision about their future. Despite the former opinion, I think that freedom is important, and professionals should have the right to choose where they want to work or live. On the one hand, some people believe that as governments allocate an array of budgets and facilities for studying such professionals, it is reasonable to expect them stay and serve for the training country. Particularly if they study at their own country, they will be responsible for development of their country. In other words, when professionals do not immigrate to abroad, the government would not be required to take new labour forces, leading to improvement in the economy, as foreign workers may require new trainings. For example, in many developing countries, there is a shortage of healthcare professionals. Requiring doctors to stay because not only can they alleviate this issue but they also can help governments not fund for training of new employees. On the other hand, some individuals think that people should be free to decide about their future because they have tried to achieve their goals, and it is the result of their perseverance and determinations. So they should have the right to choose where they wish to live. Allowing professionals to go to other countries, can lead to personal growth because they will face with more job opportunities, experience new skills, making them to be a great expertise which can be useful for all of the world. Take Prof Samii, one of the most renowned neurosurgeons in the world, for example; although he graduated from Iran, he went to Germany for receiving more training and finally became prof Samii. In conclusion, while serving for training country or own country can be good and give a sense of satisfaction, l firmly believe that as some countries might be poor and may not able to support professionals to receive higher positions, so it is acceptable to immigrate to other nations as they may pursue their aims, leading them to personal growth.

Response: There have always been an ongonig debate about this topic that whether it is good to encourage people to compete with each other in different social places such as workplace or schools, or cooperating is more important than competition. Some people believe that life is a long game full of opportunities, which you win or you loose. So,they persuade childrens from an early ages to compete with their peers. It gives them the opportunity to grow and achieve whatever they want. For example, when they start working in a company as a junior employee, they need to foster their talents and abillities, and in order to be promoted, they are compared with other colleagues so they must know how to compete, otherwise they will face problems. On the other hand, other believe that individuals have to try to achieve their goals, but competiting leads to jelaousy and makes people to behave unfair in some special situations. For instance, in workplace, all the workeforced have to support each other. They have to learn that they should be happy for their colleagues' promotions. Because life isn't a competition and every body could make their wishes come true if they work hard enough. Therefore, when we teach students to try to have self growth, and not to compare themselves with other scholars. They should help them in the time of difficulty and give a hand to each other when it is needed. From my perspective, cooperation have always been more valuable that competing. And when all the people try to help each other and see themselves as a community, then the route for growth is even brighter and human values will be respected. We as older people owe this to the further generation to increase the awareness about human values and breed our children with moral educations.

The Importance of Saving Money for the Future

Response: It is important to consider how managing money can help people. There is a view that it is crucial for all people especially younger ones to save money for their future. I firmly agree with this statement and in this essay I will discuss the reasons for it. One the one hand, many young individuals prefer to focus on their current moments instead of worrying about their future. This is because it helps them to make the most of their youth by spending their money on their interests and things that makes them really happy, instead of depriving themselves from doing them. For example, a person who is in 20s may decide not go to a travel that they have always dreamed of it and instead save its money for their retirement age. Consequently, they not only scarify their precious young age but also this might effect on their life satisfaction even when they will get older. On the other hand, in my view, people should make a balance between considering their future financial security and their current time. for example, they can allocate some part of their salary for spending on their favorite activities, while saving other portions for the later unexpected situations. In doing so, they can not only take full advantage of their younger years but also enjoy the financial independency they will have. In contrast, if they solely focus on the current period, they might run out of money and be rely on others in the future. In conclusion, although people should not ruin their present moment by constantly thinking about the future, it is vital to make a balance between them and also allocate part of their income for their retirement period.

Response: Nowadays, everyone is surrounded by advertising which leads them to be more and more consumer. As a result, it is very difficult for the young people to save their income. While, saving money is a difficult task, it has numerus benefits for people’s lives. This essay completely agrees with the idea that individuals should save their money. This matter will be further elaborated on by scrutinizing following topics: saving money for long-term and short-term purposes in the future. On the one hand, some believe that every one, especially young people have to save their money for their retirement periods. Although, in some countries, governments support old people, in this period, individuals need to be in safe financial conditions, due to their saving. For example, some health problems are not supported by the insurance, so people have to pay their money for the treatments. In addition, in this age, people are struggling with some mental issues due to lack of outdoor activities and entertainment, so they can invest their saving to boost their mental health, including, going on a trip and participating in entertainment groups. Moreover, not only does saving money have certain advantages for the retirement, but it also has some benefits during the youth period. For instance, young people can save their money to invest it on improving both their personality skills and life conditions, such as learning new skills, buying a new house and having new experiences, then the quality of their lives can be increased during the time. It can be mentioned that young people should be taught to learn how they can manage their income. In conclusion, this essay has elaborated on why saving money has significant roles in old and young people’s lives. It has explained it that old people life depends on their saving for solving both the mental and physical health and young people can use their saving to develop their current conditions.

Response: In the contemporary era, the phenomenon of migration of professionals has witnessed an unprecedented surge. There are varying views on that professionals should not be free to work wherever they want, and many believe they should be in the service of the location that train them. I argue that the negative consequences of forcing professionals to stay in the country where they have studied, particularly in terms of personal choices and social impacts, far outweigh benefits, making it a detrimental approach. On the one hand, many proponents of mandatory work place claim that a vast amount of money should be spent until professionals become expert, and this money often provide by individuals tax. Therefore, professionals have a huge responsibility to work for people that make them unable to study. Furthermore, they assert that professionals usually opt for developed countries provided that they have right to choose the country owing to better work condition. As a result, poor countries that prepare experts cannot use the knowledge of them, and they cannot progress. On the other hand, numerous proponents contend that imposing such requirements infringes on the professionals' autonomy to make independent choices. They advocate instead for an approach that presents both sides of the debate, empowering professionals to make a informed and voluntary decisions rather than obligating them to choose one side. A poignant example can be found in a survey conducted in Iran, which revealed that obligating experts who studied a lot and have a strong credentials to stay in country is an overly simplistic approach that can be effective. Moreover, a growing number of research has shown, as professionals not be free to choose freely, they cannot work properly, resulting in decreasing useful hours of work. In conclusion, while many declare that professionals such as doctors and engineers, should be work in the country where they learn to be expert, many opine they should be free to make decision where they want to work. I firmly believe that they should be free to choose.

The Influence of Advertising on Consumer Behavior

Response: There is an ongoing debate about the effectiveness of advertisements. While some argue that nowadays these commercials no longer have their impact on individuals, others advocate for the significant effects of advertisement. In my view, advertising still has its effective strategies to influence people. On the one hand, it is undeniably true that people easily purchase goods based on the advertisement they watched. The expertise of those who create them is a major reason for power of advertising. Most of them are industrial psychologists who study human behavior and the techniques of persuading people. In this way, they know the exact colours and words to attract customers, and even their needs are obvious to them. Additionally, in the wake of technological advancements, individuals have access to many online platforms, such as Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, which make it easy for advertising agencies to draw different group of customers. On the other hand, despite the above arguments, another group argues that because of public awareness of these commercials’ facts, they are not being affected by them. First of all, people notice that advertisements do not always show the truth of the products; they use special effects. For example, in fast-food restaurants, the advertised images of their food are not often quite the same as reality. Moreover, as individuals face too many commercial breaks on different platforms, these advertisements have become far too normal for viewers, so they prefer to skip them or purchase the premium version to avoid advertising. In conclusion, people hold different views on whether advertising has still its power to attract customers or not. Although some believe that people aware that advertisements sometimes hide the truth, therefore they will not be affected, others argue that the methods used in advertising meet market demands. I assert that commercial advertising has the most vital impact on humans.

Response: There is an ongoing debate about whether it is better to take care of ourselves when we are sick and use from housemade treatments, or we have to see doctors and ask for their counsoalts. In today's digital era, everybody has an easy access to sheer number of information through internet and social platforms . Besides that, people awarenesses have been increased over the passed decades. The more people recieve higher education degrees, the more knowledgable they are about different categories including medical treatments and medicines. Moreover, people learn from their expriances, for instance, every individual gets cold several times a year, and based on the previous expriences, they are aware that medical doctors usually offer the same medicines for some sort of colds, so they prefer to use their own treatments. Opposed that, other believe that, firstly, alternative medicines and treatments are not an intellectual way to treat ourselfs. They refer to developing countries which because of uncontroled usage of antibiotics, the resistance against antibiotic has been increased in their bodies and it is a terrible implication of their wrong behaviours. Secondly, alternative medicines may be effective in some cases, but they could have medical interferences with other kinds of drug, and consequently, it could lead to undeniable hurts. From my perspective, every person is responsible for the health of the community which is consisted of us, and the way we act has a direct and indirect impacts on the further generations. We have to visit doctors whenever it is needed and use doctors' updated knowledge to recieve the best medication.

Urban Migration and Its Impact on Rural Areas

Response: There is a global trend in which dwellers migrate from country side to cities. As a result, the proportion of people living in rural areas decreases. I think it's a negative development due to several factors. On one hand, there are many elements that encourage people to move to metropolises. As there might not be enough facilities, many people prefer to leave. For instance, educational facilities are not advance in small villages. Consequently, when you try to have self development, moving to cities makes it possible. More over, living in a city allows you to benefit from convenient public transportation, which country side might be deprived of. So if you don't own a vehicle, commuting in rural areas may be impossible. But it doesn't seem reasonable if we only care about individuals and not the problems that it may cause. On the other hand, when rural people leave their home town, this action leads to significant problems. Firstly, agriculture is going to be consigned to oblivion as there are no farmers in towns. The lack of agriculture may be felt by both rural and urban people. As fields and farms may be left, the soil may be eroded. Moreover, cities have capacities. Thus, when many people migrates to cities, it causes problems. Take Tehran as an example. Huge number of migrants made this city crowded. Citizens suffer from high volume of traffic and congested roads. It also put dwellers in a competition to own accommodation, which increases the house prices. In conclusion, although rural people think migrating is beneficial for them, it is indeed problematic. I firmly believe that huge migration number may cause problems that seems hard to be addressed.
