The Main Environmental Problem: Species Loss vs. Other Issues

IELTS Writing Task 2

Response: The loss of biodiversity and other environmental problems are pressing issues in today’s world, with ongoing debate about which deserves the most attention. some believe that the extinction of some particular animals and plants has far-reaching consequences, while others argue that broader environmental issues, such as pollution, are more critical. In my view, all environmental challenges are equally important and require attention from both governments and individuals. On the one hand, it is undeniable that industrialization and human activities have contributed to environmental degradation, leading some to prioritize the protection of plants and animals. The Earth is the natural habitat of countless wild species, and their extinction would have far-reaching effects on the planet. For example, every species occupies a specific role in food chain, and if certain animals disappear, the balance of ecosystems could be significantly disrupted. This can lead to the overpopulation of the prey species, which would ultimately threaten food resources for humanity. Therefore, I believe that it is vital for governments to implement effective strategies to combat this problem, such as raising public awareness and establishing protected areas to conserve endangered animals. On the other hand, others argue that pollution caused by human activities is a more pressing environmental problem. Pollution, including air and light pollution, has detrimental effects not only on the individuals but also on wildlife. For instance, the air pollution, caused by carbon emissions, has a direct impact on human health, leading to respiratory diseases like asthma. Animals are also severely affected, as polluted air can be toxic to them. Moreover, the excessive artificial light disrupts the natural behavior of migrating birds and other species. To tackle these issues, governments must introduce stringent regulations to limit industrial emissions, and individuals can contribute by reducing their carbon footprint, for example, by using public transportation or opting for sustainable energy sources. In conclusion, people hold different views on which environmental issues are the most to critical. While some emphasize the importance of protecting endangered animals and maintaining ecosystem balance, others argue that pollution poses a more immediate threat to both humans and wildlife. In my opinion, both issues are of equal importance, and it is crucial for worldwide actions to tackle both issues at the same time in order to safeguard the planet’s future.

Response: Some students argue that learning multiple skills alongside their academic studies is beneficial for future success, while others believe that students should concentrate solely on their major and dedicate more time to their academic pursuits. I personally think that young people should broaden their skill sets, as acquiring knowledge in a variety of areas can lead to a more successful and fulfilling future. One viewpoint is that students should expand their abilities, as this allows them to discover new interests and foster creativity. Exploring different fields can help students uncover new hobbies or activities they enjoy. For example, an engineering student who studies music might take up playing an instrument as a hobby. Moreover, learning from various subjects provides students with fresh ideas and enhances their problem-solving skills. For instance, a computer science student with an understanding of art might design a more visually appealing website in a creative manner. On the other hand, some argue that students should focus on their academic disciplines, as this can lead to better grades and more efficient use of time. Concentrating on a single subject enables students to delve deeper into the material and achieve excellent results in their exams. For example, a law student who studies with precision can successfully navigate complex courses. Furthermore, if students allocate time to other subjects, they may not have sufficient time to dedicate to their primary courses. For instance, a medical student who focuses exclusively on their core subjects is more likely to complete their degree on time. In conclusion, both approaches have their merits, and the best path depends on students' personal attitudes and the demands of their chosen fields. However, I firmly believe that young people should explore various disciplines and acquire new skills to enhance their chances of success.

I personally think that young people should increase their skills, and if they obtain more knowledge about a variety of skills, they can have a more successful and happier future. One viewpoint is that students should expand their abilities, as it allows them to find new interests and become creative. Trying different fields can assist students in discovering new hobbies or activities they enjoy. For example, an engineering student who studies music might start playing an instrument as a hobby. Moreover, learning from various subjects gives students new ideas and helps them solve problems better. For instance, a computer student who knows about art might design a better website creatively. On the other hand, others think that students should focus on their academic areas because it leads to gaining better scores and saving time. Concentrating on one subject can help students learn deeply and acquire excellent grades in their exams. For example, a law student who studies with high precision can pass their complex courses. Furthermore, when they spend time on other subjects, they will not have sufficient time for their primary courses. For instance, a medical student who studies only their courses can finish their degree on time. In conclusion, both these approaches have their benefits, and it depends on students' personal attitudes and their field's assignments. Response: These days, international products are available in every supermarkets. While it can be beneficial in some aspects, I think paying attention to local producers and providing oppurtunities to sell their goods is essential. This essay will discuss both sides of view and, provide a conclusion. Nowadays, everyone international products can be seen in almost every shops and it brings some advantages. Firstly, the variety of products will increase and therefore, producers should improve their good's quality to be able to compete with others. Secondly, people might have more choice and be free to choose the best one. For example, there are several cheese brands from all over the world at markets and everyone can choose them according to their needs. Finally, It will help people to get familiar with different cultures and dietary preferences, allowing them to experience new things. Thus, it is beneficial for both producers and consumers. However, supporting local producers should not be forgotten. These manufacturers are essential for local economy so, they should be supported by local residents. Notably, so many domestic workers work in these production complexes therefore, governments should subsidize these complexes and, do not import all products from foreign countries, helping these companies to develop and hire more careers. Moreover, local people should purchase these products frequently to help their economy. In conclusion, I believe available international goods in the markets not only can help individuals to get acquainted with different cultures but also help producers to improve their product's quality. However, it is necessary for both local people adn goverment to support local manufacturers cause they are important for domestic economy.

Response: saving is an essential for everyone and, it doesnt related to people's age. I completely agree that everyone, especially the young, have to save money for unpredictable days of the future, however, this should not deter people from enjoying their lives. On the one hand, undoubtedly, saving is one of the most important skills that people can learn. This skill can be taught by mentors at school and by parents at home to the children. So, by realizing the value of saving, people will be more aware about their purchases and expenditures, leading to not purchasing products when they do not need them. Consequently, the society would be stay away from 'consumerism' culture. Futhermore, no one can predict the future and the expenditures that might be faced so, by saving youngsters can guarantee a potential financial stability in the future. For instance, I am completely aware about my country's economic inflation and, always attemp to save a small proportion of my income for the future to not get in trouble. On the other hand, saving should not be accounted as a detterant element that do not let young adults to purchase what they like. we all live only once, therefore, we should not limit ourselves strictly. Consequentlty, purchasing responsibly can be key to not only save money, but also purchase what we like. In conclusion, I believe saving is essential in all ages especially in young ages and can be helpful in unforssen future. However, purchasing responsibly beside saving is essential as well.
