The Importance of Home Ownership

IELTS Writing Task 2

Response: It is true that in some specific areas and religions having a house is more preferred than renting one. While there are various reasons for this trend, such as showing the financial condition of families, I believe that this is a negative situation with some detrimental effects, and individuals should live in a place that feels like a home regardless of owning it or not. There are several reasons why some individuals and households prioritize buying a house for themselves. First of all, children have a strong feeling of ownership of objects or devices, like having their favorite toys and not sharing them, and this feeling is remains in humans even in their adulthoods; therefore, owning a house is a crucial matter for people. Secondly, in some countries, owning a house is a sign of being wealthy, so people are more willing to buy instead of renting to boast about their financial status, and even this situation encourages individuals to have more than one. Finally, in some religions, any changes in decoration, such as the color of walls, are illegal, hence the renters prefer to own a place where they can make any change necessary. As a result, these mentioned reasons have an essential impact on this case. In my opinion, the benefits of owning a place are vital, such as saving a huge amount of money by not paying monthly rent; however, the drawbacks outweigh the advantages. The most important one is when people do not have enough money to own a place; in this situation, individuals feel great pressure on themselves, and this would cause several damages, like depression, anxiety and feeling disappointed, and even the relationships of couples would be affected. For example, in many developing countries owning a place is important, so young couples who cannot afford to buy houses face challenges in their relationship, which sometimes drives them to divorce. Due to these causes, I believe this trend is unproductive, and humanity should prioritize their happiness; indeed, they are better to live in a place that feels like a home to avoid any problems. In conclusion, in some particular areas owning a house is more popular than renting. While the intense feeling of ownership and other factors make a significant contribution to this, in my view, this situation is negative with harmful influences on individuals well-being and their relationships.

Response: These days, globalization plays a crucial role in people's lives in terms of purchasing different products in their town. It is thought by some that in the contemporary era, in many countries, people can buy a wide variety of foods imported from other counties by going to the nearest shops. I my opinion, this has positive impacts on people to live with a higher standard and provide them with numerous ethnic and exotic foods from all parts of world. A good reason to consider buying international foods from supermarkets as a positive development is that it can give many individuals freedom and accessibility to buy different products without travelling to other nations. For instance, without globalization, if some individuals want to eat sushi, they may travel to japan to try it, which may cost them a fortune. Hence, they simply can go to a supermarket and buy different kinds of sushi because today every parts of world can sell this food. As result, This is an ingenious idea that allow people to experience various foods any where and any time. Another point to consider is that many manufacturers want to introduce new products worldwide to raise people's awareness about their goods and increase annual selling rate. This way, they export their products to other countries, so people from others regions find these items more quickly in their cities. For example, Kalleh is a big company in Iran, that export various foods overseas, and people all around the world have access to buy kalleh products. Therefore, it would be more beneficial for both manufacturers and citizens. In conclusion, providing individuals with many foods in every shops can be the most popular topic these days. Not only can it lead to accessing many ingredients produced by other countries in each nations, but it also can help people to try international foods without travelling to other regions. Therefore, founders of companies and citizens find it a good development.

Balancing Main and Additional Subjects in University Education

Response: It is widely held view that university students ought to put their time and effort on their own studies. However , some may opine that it is a good idea for scholars to learn other subjects as well as their own major. Neverthless, I find the former notion more viable to achieve, owing to time limitations during university years. Some people are of the opinion that acquiring other subjects other than their own descipline is beneficial. It is irrefutable that studying various subjects contributes to broadening one's perspective and boosting creativity, which can be advantageous futher in their life. A striking example of that can be Steve jobs. He used his calligraphy skills that he had learned during his teenage years in designing fonts for his software while working in Apple company many years after acquiring them.Hence, without that skill, he might have not been creative. Furthermore, It is additional studies that hinder individuals to obtain one-sided or biased viewpionts by giving them access to a more creative mindset throughout their lives. Although acquiring additional skills might have some merits, many argue that students have time constrains for studying resources other than their main curriculum. For instance, medical students have to pass an extensive range of lessons before graduation, which are all crucial to acquire the expertise and dexterity for becoming a medical practitioner. It is often recommended to not only focus fully on one's own studies to achieve success during university but also try avoiding any distractions by participating in any extracurricular activities. University students are limited in time and energy, therefore they have to strive to exploit them and also concentrate solely on their own studies In the final analysis, acquiring additional skills by studying different subjects might be benficial by giving an individual a multifacated perspective, it may not be applicable to everybody due to time limitations. I find myself among the supporters of latter view, since it is more feasible.

Accepting vs. Improving Bad Situations

Response: While a group of people believes that we should accept unpleasant experiences, others think that it is better to turn those bad experiences into good ones rather than accepting them. While I agree with the opinion of the first group to some extent, I firmly believe that the other group is completely right. On the one hand, some people think that accepting bad events is better than facing the problems, and they might be right to some extent. Although, it is worthy to try to change the bad situations, we should consider that sometimes we cannot improve anything as we do not have any control over problems. In such situations, we should not blame ourselves and complain about what has happened to us. Thus, the best way is to accepting those situations and try to stay strong. For instance, when someone have a disease, it is obvious that it was not that person's fault and in most cases, they are unable to change the situation. Therefore, all they can do is to be patient and increase their tolerance. On the other hand, other people believe that the best solution is to face these issues and try to change them, and I firmly agree with them. First of all, we should always be strong and optimistic. We should have faith and try to upgrade ourselves . Therefore, we should always work towards making bad situations better by our hard work. Moreover, it is better to try and fail rather than being passive all the time. Sometimes, some problems are not unchangeable, but it is our way of thinking that makes solving those problems impossible for us, while they can easily be solved with our effort. Therefore, it is always better to have faith in ourselves and try to improve concerning situations. In conclusion, although I partly agree with the opinion of the first group, I firmly believe that another group is right as it is always better to try to change the bad situations rather than accepting them for many reasons.

Response: In the modern world wshere the professionals work has becom widely issues. There are various perspective on ir necessity and effectiveness of working professionals in the county they have educations appose to working in different country. Some people believe that it is essencial for special indivisual to staying in own nation,While other believe it may not be great approach. Nevertheless,I firmly believe that whereever they want to live and work is more beneficial. There are several resons why some people argue that professionals should be purpuse the career in the country that they schooling. Fisrt and foremost, due to migrate these people the area confort to shortage of professionals and societies could not meet the needs of people. For example delevoped country may progress more and undeveloped country needs more to productive specialist that they leave the country. Additionally, Neglecting the importance of contibute these people resulted in public people no longer passionate about proceed the educationals. On the other hand,I support the view that professionals can chose whenever they want, because not only they ettempt to achive success but also as a person they could desition to work or live for themselves. Furthermore, addresing these issues need to government tackle their problem and provide the great situation that their choice would be saty and work for people in the country they have education. Seldom government investing on proffecional persons, should policymakers meet the needs of indivisuals, they would cater for own peoples' societies. In conclusion, Although both views have merits, I argue that There is no mandatory to profesionals to work in where they training.

Urban Migration and Its Impact on Rural Areas

Response: All over the world, humans have started to move in metropolises even the ones in countryside this caused a disbalance in number of people living in them. I personally think this a negative development, because having more people in a city then its capacity causes several issues. However, in many cities there are several ways of transport its citizens always had hard time to move from one location to another. Imagine a big increase in the population and moving from one part of a city to another it makes it even harder because the public transports have limited capabilities as well as the roads. This CO^2 produced by the cars would pollute the air. For example, Tehran is a good example of a city by which the rural parts of the town have moved in to city center, this caused over population in every inner part of the city and a massive decrease in air quality. On the other hand, by people leaving the outer layer of cities this will cause the jobs there suffer from lack of workers also makes the residence over there move into the city. This causes over population in city centers and, will increase the competition in renting and buying a house and anything which has a higher demand causes in increase of prices many cities with high number of residences suffer from the same problem for instance, Hong Kong China with almost 8 million residence suffers from lack of houses for its residences. Inconclusion, governments are in charge of the countryside population and have authorities to control and take care of them by providing jobs and services for better life experience

Driverless Vehicles: Advantages and Disadvantages

Response: It is predicted that almost all vehicles would be driverless in the future. While this can offer some disadvatages, I believe that the benefits are more than its drawbacks. On the one hand, some drawbacks are involved in this predicted trend. First and foremost, driverless vehicles might not seem that much safe. Although technolgy is improving with fast pace, and artificial intelligence is utilised as a commander of driverless transport means, but this technology might not be reliable. Tesla cars, for instance, are counted as new generation of driverless vehicles but many accidents and faults have been reported from these kind of cars. Secondly, by replacing driverless vehicles with traditional ones, many people will lose their jobs. For instances, taxi drivers or others who work as driver in public transportation sector might be in danger of unemployment, leading them to a problematic situation. Therefore, government should look for a solution in this regard. On the other hand, driverless vehicles can bring benefits for society. It would be much easier for whom have to commute every day in cities, and will offer more convenience to them. people will do what they like and enjoy whitout being concerned about driving their car. Moreover, this trend would be beneficial for individuals with disabilities that are not able to drive a vehicle. using driverless cars foster a sense of autonomy to them and they will not have to rely on others for a simple task like driving. IN conclusion, however there are some drawbacks like lack of safety or job loss, but it can be beneficial as it might offer more convenience to people and a sense of autonomy to disables individuals.

The Impact of Encouraging Children to Achieve Their Dreams

Response: In many cultures, children are encouraged to believe that with enough effort, they can achieve anything. This message can have both positive and negative effects on children’s development. In this essay, I will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of telling children that hard work leads to success. One of the main benefits of this message is that it encourages children to work hard and not give up easily. When children are told they can succeed with effort, they are more likely to try their best and stay motivated, even when faced with challenges. This mindset can help children develop important qualities such as perseverance and determination. For example, a child who struggles in school might keep studying and improve over time if they believe their efforts will eventually pay off. Additionally, this message can help children build self-confidence. When children believe they can achieve their goals through hard work, they feel more in control of their future. This belief can encourage them to take on new challenges and pursue their dreams. For instance, a child who wants to be a doctor may be more likely to stay focused on their studies, knowing that their efforts will bring them closer to their goal. On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages to telling children that they can achieve anything just by trying hard. One major issue is that it can create unrealistic expectations. Not every goal can be achieved through hard work alone. Some children might face difficulties that cannot be overcome just by putting in more effort, such as health problems or limited opportunities. If children are taught that effort always leads to success, they might feel disappointed or frustrated when they fail despite their hard work. Moreover, this message can sometimes ignore the role of other important factors in success, such as talent or luck. Children might focus too much on effort and forget that other skills, such as creativity or teamwork, are also important for achieving success. This can lead to stress or burnout, especially if children feel that they are not achieving enough despite their hard work. In conclusion, while encouraging children to believe that hard work leads to success has many advantages, such as building perseverance and confidence, it can also have drawbacks. Children should be taught that while effort is important, success is influenced by many factors. A balanced approach will help children stay motivated without feeling discouraged when things don’t go as planned.

The Impact of Sugar Tax on Consumption

Response: Researches have shown that consuming sugary products can lead to different health issues for humans. While some people believe that making these products more expensive can be an effective solution, I disagree with this perspective and believe better measures can be taken to encourage people to use less sugar. To begin with, overconsuming sugary products is an imprtant issue in many countries, leading several health problems which can disturb people's comfortnesses. It enhances FBS (Fasting Blood Sugar) and person can be prone to danger of being diabetic. Therefore, striving to decraese consume products that contain artificial sugar is essential. However, incraesing these products' price is not proper solution to solve theis problem becuase there are many sugary products that people consume them almost every day, regardless of their prices such as pasta or rice. Thus, increasing price can make problems for poor people that decrease their affordability. There are some potential solutions that can be considered in this term. Firstly, governments should attemp to enhance people's awareness about sugary products by providing useful and engaging advertising that can be published through TV or billborads in the roads and highways. Moreover, people are responsible as well. they have to decrease sugar in their meals and discourage their children to consume sugary goods such as soft drinks or snacks. In this way, the next generation is less likely to use these kind of products. In conclusion, in my opinion , increasing sugary goods price is not practical measurement and might decrease some people affordability. The better solution is enhancing people awareness and attempting to stay next generation healthier.
