Balancing Main and Additional Subjects in University Education

Response: There are opposing ideas whether students should focus on their main major of study or they can follow other subjects besides their principal one. I stand with the latter statement. On the one hand, those who believe in concentrating on a main qualification define it as the solution to reach maximum function. As individuals pay all their attention to a subject, they are more likely to become experts in that specific area. For example, there is a psychological theory which indicates that if people spend 10,000 hours channeling all their attention to a specific subject, they will become masters. In addition, considering the fact that students may struggle with many distractions, following a unique pattern lowers the chance of dealing with disruptions. On the other hand, many students, including myself, believe that a broader understanding of various subjects is beneficial for young generation. Nowadays, living in a global village has uplifted the demand to acquire sufficient knowledge in order to make progress on a social scale. If students learn various aspects of science along with their major field of study, they will be able to address the challenges of living in a multi-dimensional world and promote an erudite society. For example, if biology students learn about economics, they can overcome possible financial difficulties in their future lives. In conclusion, while concentrating on a single subject may offer some benefits academically, it is of paramount importance to consider all aspects of an individual's interests besides their main subjects.

Global Availability of Food Products

Response: Purchasing foreign food products is currently possible for supermarkets costumers in numerous countries. Local consumers and economy benefit greatly from broader range of choices and more opportunities, respectively. However, in my opinion, the damage to production sector of the economy and capital outflow are irreparable. A product manufactured in the United States may appear on supermarket shelves in China, Japan or various European countries. This development has provided customers with a diverse array of options, enabling them to select products that more precisely align with their preferences. For example, the diabetic community in the United States would opt for food products with lower, or no sugar content. American manufacturers might introduce them a beverage with higher level of sugar, while their European counterparts, using different formulas, might offer drinks with lower or no artificial sweeteners to cater their needs. Furthermore, selling products abroad typically creates a mutually beneficial situation for companies and destination countries. To remain competitive in the market, companies must lower the final prices of their products. Strategies such as circumventing transportation costs by constructing food production facilities in the host country and employing local workforces are often adopted to effectively serve this purpose. This not only creates more job opportunities, but also attracts more foreign capital. Importing, on the other hand, can adversely affect the manufacturing sector. A market inundated with foreign goods might constrain the prospects for domestic production. A constant producing-sales cycle ensures sustainable economic growth in the production sector. This fragile cycle could simply be interrupted by the import of foreign-manufactured goods offered to consumers at reduced prices, exerting pressure on domestic producers, which ultimately leads to the contraction of the production sector. Cutting-edge technologies implemented in developed countries yet exacerbate the issue for underdeveloped or developing nations, where the production costs exceed those of imported items. This trend increases capital outflow as merchants are urged to import more foreign food products. Valuable foreign currencies, such as US dollars or Euros, which should be allocated to a country’s infrastructure development or be invested in vital industries, education, or public health, are extravagantly spent on importing food items that could be produced domestically. Therefore, if imports are unchecked, they harm local manufacturing and divert crucial financial resources from essential sectors, stifling economic growth and development. In conclusion, while importing foreign food products offers consumer variety and economic opportunities, it significantly harms local manufacturing and diverts crucial financial resources, stifling economic growth and development. Balancing imports with domestic industry protection is essential for sustainable growth.

Accepting vs. Improving Bad Situations

Response: There is an argue among people about either accepting challengable situations like satisfying job and low income, or try to improve and change that situations. In this essay, i am going to discuss both views and provide reasons for each while i believe that is essential to keep balance between them and explaining why is it so. On the one hand, accepting harder situations in different aspect of life by human would lead to decrease unsatisfaction feelings and reduce anxiety. Happines caurage individuals not to compare themselves with other and show more interest to their job or social level that meant to choose their own pathway of life.A person can be more self confident when following their ideas which significantly affect well being among individuals and maintain healthier community. For instance, people with lower level of income which already get used to the average lifestyle and decrease their expectations from life already stopped racing with others in different levels and happy about their current situation also can handel harder occasions without panicking. On the other hand, trying to change undesirable situations in life could improve human being in different aspects of life such as career and education as well as social connections. Fighting back with problems and not simply accepting destiny could move people forward through success and not giving up on their dreams. For example, the best way to experience better quality of life is to have better income from the job that a person is talented in and can perform creativity which make that person unique. And obvious example is the owner of apple company who was throw out of school due to low marks but never stop trying and finally became one of the most famous person in world. In my opinion, while accepting the bad situation by human can directly affect satisficationary feeling and reduce depression ,Although, trying to change harder situations to smooter ones is the way to not lose any opportunities and increase the capacity of individuals by giving them reasons for trying. So a person should be able to recognize when is the right time to try and when to stop struggling and accept the reality.

The Importance of Home Ownership

Response: In many cultures, owning a home is considered an essential part of life and a key indicator of success and stability. This preference for homeownership over renting can be attributed to several reasons. Firstly, owning a home provides a sense of security and financial stability. Homeownership often eliminates the uncertainties of rising rental costs and eviction, giving individuals a sense of long-term control over their living environment. Additionally, owning property is seen as an investment that increases in value over time, allowing homeowners to build wealth. Cultural values also play a significant role. In many societies, homeownership is linked to social status and personal achievement, symbolizing financial independence and responsibility. For families, owning a home offers stability, particularly for raising children. However, this preference can have both positive and negative consequences. On the positive side, it encourages financial discipline, as people often save diligently to afford a home. It also fosters stronger community ties, as homeowners tend to settle in one area for extended periods. On the negative side, the emphasis on homeownership can pressure individuals to take on significant debt through mortgages, leading to financial stress. Furthermore, in regions where housing prices are high, this focus may widen economic inequalities, as those who cannot afford homes may feel left behind. In conclusion, while the desire for homeownership can provide financial and emotional benefits, it may also create economic challenges for some individuals. Striking a balance between owning and renting is crucial to ensure accessibility and stability for all.

Response: It is often argued that tolerating difficulties like job dissatisfaction or financial hardship would be a better choice rather than trying to deal with them. Whereas I contend that neglecting problems can bring about more complex circumstances so that we should solve problems. On the one hand, there are some reasons why numerous people believe that we should cope with difficulties. In fact, a number of challenges in life are not solvable due to several reasons. To clarify, the most important reason is that they are beyond our control which means we cannot do anything effective to change that situation. According to the recent research at Yale university, trying to change these situations potentially can lead to learned helplessness which defined as a state that someone accepts his unlucky after frequent attempts to improve awful situation. On the other hand, although some situations are not changeable, most of the time we can improve circumstances in a way that we feel better to avoid more drawbacks and this is an obligation. Firstly, problems in our lives are in a repetitive circle. In other words, some problems result in other harmful problems and it continues as long as we ignore them. For instance, tolerating an exhausting workplace or ill-mannered manager might lead to job dissatisfaction. With neglecting this situation we face with more serious consequences such as depression, anxiety, emotional difficulties and even suicide thinking. Moreover, solving problems make people feel more confident. Psychologically, self-confidence is the most impactful element that is required to progress in life. To conclude, some people believe that tolerating hardship or ignorance is a good choice in life due to the nature of many problems that is unchangeable. While other and I consider difficulties as a temporary situation which can be solved by hardworking. It is effective to prevent more problems and improving self confidence.

Response: Nowadays, in a number of societies it is believed that children’s accomplishments rely on their diligence as well as their hard working. While it can be advantageous for the youth due to its impact on their attitude and self-confidence, it can be detrimental as it creates unrealistic expectations for children and their families. One of the key benefits of this belief is that children learn one of the most influential rules of reaching their goals which is trying hard enough. In simpler terms, throughout teaching this concept to children, their attitude will change to a growth-oriented perspective. According to a survey filled by 100 self-made and rich merchants in Europe, they consider diligence-based attitude as the most important thing to reach any dream. In addition, by promoting this idea that intensive effort leads to success can instill a number of crucial skills to children like resilience, flexibility, and planning for future. Thus, it can change their ways of life and patterns of thinking. On the other hand, there are numerous remarkable drawbacks related to the mentioned opinion. Firstly, imposing this thinking might make untrue expectations which is irritating for teenagers. In other words, if children are consistently told that hard working is the only required tool to achieve their aims, they depend on this feature completely that can disappoint them when they should deal with tough situations. Secondly, there are other essential elements except diligence that is required to be successful such as problem-solving, external circumstances and children’s talent. while, this fact is ignored by concentrating on this belief alone which by failing to reach desires potentially can result in many psychological problems such as depression and anxiety. To conclude, in a number of civilizations it is common that children can achieve their goals if work firm enough which can be advantageous for children by changing their mindset. In contrast, there are some drawbacks like unrealistic expectations and neglecting other factors to success.

Response: It is claimed that processed portions are ubiquitous in supermarkets internationally. While I accept that these meals may bring some positive sides, they are mainly negative. On the one hand, produced food can tackle the problem of hectic lifestyles. As individuals dealing with a busy schedule nowadays in terms of business or study, a convenient approach to food is of paramount importance. In fact, processed food might be considered a time-saving solution regarding people's daily rush. Above that, large scale produced portions can provide various choices for all consumers. For example, meat-free products of all types are widely accessible for vegetarians so that they would be able to choose any desirable food. On the other hand, processed food which can be sold in supermarkets bring many health issues and provokes laziness. Firstly, with food being widely accessible in supermarkets, people would lose their eagerness to cook for their own. If individuals do not understand the necessity of physical activities like making portions for their family, they will follow a sedentary lifestyle. Secondly, these portions have numerous drawbacks regarding their health standards so that overusing them would lead to many physical disorders like obesity. Produced food mainly consist extra fat, sugar and saturated salt which are detrimental for human body. Response: It is widely believed that printed newspapers and books will be not bought because people will use online devices for reading in free of charge. Although online devices will become more prevalence among people to read everything without paying, I completely disagree that nobody will purchase printed books due to some compelling reason that I will mention in this essay. To begin with, one of the reasons people will purchase printed books is that they are often more reliable. That is to say, if a book wants to be printed, it should be analysed by well-known scientists or Academics, thereby making it more reliable. However, online information can be manipulated easily, making people retail unreliable information. For example, students studying at universities, they need to learn information from printed books, leading to improvement in their success; this, in turn, preventing students from exposure to a wide range of unrelated data. Moreover, another reason is that using digital devices make people suffer from some problems such as eyestrain, bending, and distractions, leading to decreased their concentrations. For example, when individuals want to gain data online, they may often face with some advertisements, making them distracted; this, in turn, force them to strain more on the screen and suffer from eyestrain. While printed books can provide people with tactile experiencing, thereby improving their concentrations which can enhancing their comprehension skills. In conclusion, in the future, while individuals will be able to read everything online due to the internet without payment, I do not fully agree that people will not purchasing printed books, owing to more its reliability and improving concentrations during studying.

Response: In some countries, it is crucial to purchase a home rather than rent one. This is because buying a home in some countries is a sign of success and is a long-term financial investment. I contend this is a positive situation due to some compelling reasons that I will mention in this essay. To begin with, there are several reasons why being a homeowner is important in some nations. First of all, it can be a long-term financial investment and provide potential profits for people. That is to say, if people live in their own house, they will not pay annual rent, leading to financial security for them, especially when the property value increases. For example, some people purchase a house, and if it becomes more valuable, they can sell it and make a profit, resulting in a sense of success and belonging. Secondly, homeowners can modify their living spaces; they can redesign or rebuild them, which is often restricted in rental properties. Moreover, I believe that trying to live as a homeowner can bring a positive circumstance. This is because it will help people to strive more in their lives. In other words, the more people try to buy a home, the more they attempt to work for earning money, making them improve their productivity and efficiency. For instance, if people prioritize purchasing a house, they will definitely attempt to save more money and tighten their belts, leading to increased resilience and capability. In conclusion, in some countries, it is very essential for people to be homeowners rather than renting. Owing to the potential benefits for residents. In addition, I firmly believe that this is a useful condition because it will make citizens have more endeavour, which provides them with a sense of satisfaction.
