Response: The presented graph illustrate figures concerning to the mountly fluctuations in value of three various metals over a year 2024. It is evident that the price of each three material are fluctuated but the nichel witnessed a more sharp fluctuations over a time given. In first mounth of 2024 nickel was considered as metal which had highest varations across other metales. By contrast, the zinc has most stable price which changed by just 1%. Furthermore, in following six mounth, all metals became more stable in terms of prices. The striking point was the nickel gained most stability and their price fluctuation reached -3%. By the end of year, despite noticable variation over a year copper kept its position as second material in price fluctuation which reached to realtively same point with January. Moreover, zinc started the process at 1% and ended it at 2% which reflects increase in its change prices.

The Role of Zoos in Wildlife Conservation

Response: Nowadays many people do not consider zoos useful, that is why they should be closed. Personally, I agree that today zoos do not have any purpose, especially when there are better alternatives which cause fewer problems. Many are concerned about the problems which zoos cause to the environment, wild animals and the natural world itself. According to the Oxford University research, in the areas where the zoos are held, there are worse situations with environmental issues. Furthermore, animals who are kept in zoos are often held there for no reason, as they are not injured and can survive on their own in the wild. There are often overcrowded spaces in such facilities, so animals do not have the opportunity to live in their natural ways, and more importantly are not given the proper care, which they need in conditions of living in an unnatural environment. As I have mentioned earlier there are better alternatives to zoos if those are closed. For example, there is an option of people taking care of the natural world, on specifically dedicated to this purpose areas, where people can go to learn about wild nature in its full glory. This way no animals are to be taken away from their usual habitat. This is called ecotourism and the popularity of this activity has grown very fast, after the New-York Times did an article about this nice alternative of the zoo. In the article, it has been clearly stated that ecotourism will eventually become a new ''zoo'' which is more natural-friendly and can actually tell people about being thoughtful of nature. In conclusion, I would like to say that zoos are not necessary anymore, as there are better alternatives, like ecotourism, which causes less problems and can benefit all - people's need for entertainment and the natural world.

Increasing Life Expectancy: Pros and Cons

Response: Recent decades have seen a significant rise in global life expectancy, largely due to advancement in science and medical technology. While this has merits to individuals and society, it also has an economic crisis. This essay will explore both the positive and negative aspects of increasing life expectancy and explain Why I believe the positive points outweigh disadvantages. One of the main advantages of extended lifespan is the extended opportunity for people to engage in meaningful roles such as mentoring, advising and volunteering. The length of human life affects positively; to illustrate this point, older generations can share their experiences and wisdom to enhance young people’s knowledge. For instance, in countries like Japan, many retirees continue to participate in the workforce and support younger colleagues. Another point is the longevity offers families to have many reunions or embrace their rites and rituals. With the aim of representing unity and observing paying tribute to older relatives and ancestors. To exemplify, in Iran retirees used to prioritize family gathering. Moreover, they signify reunions to strengthen their bonds. Despite the benefits of longer life duration, this also has downsides which are related to economic challenges and hygienic systems. Firstly, the rising age of the population can lead to immense pressure on health care, hygienic services and pension systems. Local governments must allocate more funding to medical care and retirement support, which can strain national budgets. For example, Australia allocates more funds to support elderly population that can decrease the budget for education and infrastructure. Also, it can trigger basic and major areas in the countries. Secondly, longevity can impact job opportunities due to a shrinking workforce because positions will not be available for younger generations. In addition, it can lead to many challenges in numerous aspects in societies like economic and social problems. In conclusion, although rising lifespan can place significant pressure on healthcare systems and the economy, it also brings substantial social and personal benefits. In my opinion, with proper policy planning and social support , the positive impacts of expectancy- such as continued contribution from elderly and intergenerational bonds- can far outweigh the challenges. Thus, governments play a crucial role in this way and they can utilize the best solutions for reshaping societies and communities.

The Benefits of a Shorter Working Week

IELTS Writing Task 2

Response: Many argue that the number of days that people should work during a week needs to be decreased. This essay supports this notion because it can benefit both establishments and societies. Firstly, well-rested employees will have higher performance, and secondly, family bonds will become stronger when they spend more time together. On one hand, the more time people have to wind down after a week of hard work, the sharper their minds will be in the following week. In other words, lack of proper rest will result in exhausted workers, who are more prone to making serious mistakes. Consequently, the company's overall outcome will be detrimentally affected. Therefore, providing employees with an additional day off not only boosts workers productivity, but also enhances the company's performance. For instance, in the UAE, most companies are launching a program that entails a three-day weekend. On the other hand, if people become too immersed in their work and do not have enough time to spend quality time with their families, their loved ones can be adversely affected. As a result, society could face greater challenges. For example, in the USA, since working all day is considered a value, many families have broken apart. This phenomenon has caused many children to suffer from behavioural difficulties, which, by a snowball effect, will deteriorate companies' performance in the future. In conclusion, this essay believes it is a good strategy to shorten the working week because it can enhance the output of companies, as well as mitigate the risk of social challenges.

Transformation of the Harbour: 2000 vs. Today

Response: The illustration displays the layout of the Porth harbour now and in 2000. Overall, the number of docks has increased to two and the fishing boats area and private yachts area have swapped places. Additionally, another showers and toilets building has been added to the harbour, as well as a complex for cafes and shops and a hotel, which has replaced the disused castle. Regarding the immediate function of the harbour, the space for fishing boats and the marina, which is the area for private yachts, has switched places. Additionally, another dock, where ferries can board passengers, has been integrated into the harbour beside the north public beach. In relation to other facilities, some renovations have been carried out, too. One of them is the construction of another building for showers and toilets along the new marina which is under the fishing boats area in the larger space. Additionally, access to the parking lot beside this new building has moved to Man Road instead of the road that leads to the Lifeboat. Furthermore, next to the Lifeboat, a complex for cafes and shops has been developed. Finally, the former out-of-use castle has been redefined as the new hotel with a private beach, which used to be the south public beach.

The Role of International Sports Events in Mitigating Tensions and Fostering Patriotism

Response: The World Cup football match and the Olympics are held worldwide with great national support and expectations. As a fan of those competitions, I agree with the idea that sporting events can be necessary for international relations and national unity, but only partially, because such events can have unintended effects on relationships between countries. First of all, the World Cup, Olympics and other international games work for easing tensions among different nations. For example, South and North Korea have football games regularly which give two nations a chance to understand each other deeply. In the mid 1990s, a hundreds of North Korean supporters came to South Korea with the footballers and they were very excited during the sporting events. Even if it sounds ridiculous, many South Koreans were quite surprised at that moment when North Koreans shouted and cried during the match. We all realized that they were very normal sports fans even though they were occasionally very secretive. Through the sports, two divided nations could reduce their political and ideological tensions and could feel the patriotic unity. Second, some sports matches can make international relations worse. For instance, football or baseball games between Korea and Japan are always big matches in two countries where full of tensions overflow. Sometimes, after the matches, the two rivals blame each other and their patriotic emotions explode in an aggressive way. Even much worse scenario is that the troubles caused by losing games affect the players directly. In conclusion, I think that international sporting occasions can be one of the good ways to ease tensions or to release patriotism safely. However, I believe that games can not be the fundamental ways for the sound patriotism or peaceful international relations.

The Impact of a 6-Hour Workday on Individuals and Society

Response: There has been some discussion that both public and authorities will be efficient in reducing work time to 6 hours a day, others do not agree with. In this essay I will support my view with examples. It is perceived by some people that reducing work time to 6 hours helps people to spend more time with their families. It is obvious that, when individuals take more hours to rest it helps them to have a free time engage in leisure activities with their families. Moreover, when public devotes clear time to their jobs it can helps them to concentrate on their relationships and improve their communication. Therefore, reducing time encourages people to provide better relationships with their families and allocate more time for leisure activities. On the other hand, some others including me believe that reducing time to 6 hours a day creates some problems . First and foremost, by diminishing work time nations can be unable to afford their life requirements . This is due to financial problems in purchasing their necessary items they encounter to troubles. Needless to say , people unable to carry out work which related to administrative tasks . For example, someone who wants to pay utility bills to banks may not have enough time to do it so this lead to overcrowding and chaos . So, making people poorer and causing disorders in society are some challenges that nations will face . In conclusion, although work time reduction allows people to spend more time with their families and provides happier moments for them but based on other idea it brings some troubles such as pushing families in to the lower class of society and creating chaos in daily life.

The Importance of Saving Money for the Future

Response: It is a common belief that saving money would be beneficial for every individual including younger generations. People who side with this idea, often fear rainy days, such as sudden illnesses or natural incidents that their occurrence is impossible to predict. In this essay, I will discuss my disagreement towards laying money aside and argue why I believe that this type of financial behavior is an impractical piece of advice, considering inflation in today’s global economy. Back in the day, Generation Z were encouraged to put their spare change in piggy banks. Nowadays, people from this generation who just started their professional journey disapprove of saving for their future. They use their income on short trips, buying fancy items and et cetra; which is due to witnessing money losing its value over time. In fact, younger generations realized that no matter how much money they save throughout a year, as time passes, the amount of laid money is not as valuable as it was last year. Consequently, Generation z decided to use their cash for shot-term purposes. In addition, a practical solution would be creating an investing portfolio as advised by many economists. If circumstances are right and the investment does not fail, it is likely that investors not only overcome inflation, but also take a noticeable profit. Moreover, upon unfortunate events, individuals can stop investment and take their money back. In conclusion, laying money aside has been proved to disappoint younger generations because of the value of the money which decreases, yearly. Although many still insist on saving for the future, there are better alternatives to overcome financial problems, which are far more profitable than saving it. Furthuremore, I firmly believe investmet must be taken more seriously rather than saving.

The Unifying Power of Music Across Cultures and Ages

Response: It is often said that music has the power to unite and connect people, regardless of their cultural backgrounds or ages. I completely agree with this view, and will give my reasons below. Music can certainly reach across cultural and national boundaries and bring people together. Perhaps the best example of this would be the Live Aid concerts that took place back in the 1980s, and which were broadcast to a global audience. Two live events were held simultaneously in the UK and the US, and the objective was to raise funds for famine relief in Ethiopia. The concerts were a huge success, both in terms of the number of people around the world who watched them and their impact on international public awareness of the famine. They demonstrated, I believe, that music truly is the planet’s global language. Just as it transcends cultures, music also has the ability to connect people from different generations. Regardless of age, we can all enjoy a memorable melody, a strong rhythm or a beautiful singing voice, and the best songs seem to have the same magical effect on all of us. This would explain why televised music competitions, such as ‘The X Factor’ or ‘The Voice’, are such popular prime-time shows. These programmes attract incredibly broad audiences because singing and popular songs appeal to children, parents and grandparents alike. I would argue that no other form of entertainment can bring families together in this way. In conclusion, I believe that music is unique in its capacity to create shared experiences between people, irrespective of culture and age.
