The Rise of Alternative Medicine

IELTS Writing Task 2

Response: It is often said that these days, it is becoming more common for many sick people to use alternative medicines and treatments rather than visiting their doctor. I believe this is a negative trend because these treatments could jeopardize people's health and prolong the time of treatment. To begin with, alternative medicines and treatments can be dangerous and unpractical. Some alternative medicines are usually associated with harmful side effects that can damage people's health. For example, some people who suffer from heart disease use herbal teas instead of professional drugs, this can not only make them feel much worse but also can create other health issues. Moreover, alternative medicines can make the treatment time longer. Even if these kinds of drugs are effective, visiting doctors and getting proper drugs can treat patients sooner. Therefore, ordinary people cannot diagnose health problems and transcribe medicines. However, some may argue that alternative medicines are usually more affordable than visiting doctors. Professional doctors are usually charged large amounts of money and the insurance systems of many countries do not support the cost of visiting doctors. As a result, some poor people may not afford these expenses and have to try alternative medicines and treatments. Nevertheless, although the cost of visiting doctors is expensive, there are some public hospitals in almost all countries where patients can use various facilities without paying money. In conclusion, In my opinion, this phenomenon is a negative one, because alternative medicines are dangerous and make the treatment time longer.

Accepting vs. Improving Bad Situations

IELTS Writing Task 2

6.5
Response: Some people are of the opinion that accepting an uncomfortable situation, like undesirable job or lack of money is for the best, while others think that striving to alter the situation is more important. I believe that it is in our nature to achieve more in our lives. Firstly, proponents of accepting bad situations may assert that predicaments are unavoidable. Understanding the fact that nothing in our control can help us focusing on changing what we are capable to control. For instance, a tough economic climate may contribute to loss of money or investment for some individuals. This hard time cannot be altered by individuals. Accepting this unfortunate circumstance can alleviate stress that people experience. Secondly, not everything is in accordance to our taste, and tolerating hardships might allow people to learn how to cope with difficult situations. A case in point is having an unsatisfying job that has a not really appealing work environment. Sometimes people are obliged to continue their job in order to set aside enough money to consider resigning. However, opponents of this notion argue that it is in humans’ nature to desire better things. The idea of wanting better things, and endeavoring to achieve them are intertwined in our belief system. Additionally, not every hardcore moment happens to be accepted. Sometimes a hardship is a sign to show perseverance for mitigating a challenging situation. For instance, experiencing a not really comfortable relationship indicates that an action must be taken to make the relationship more pleasing. Weighing both views, I believe that humans are wired to want more. Even though we cannot avoid tough times, we need to have a stoic mindset to battle every negative situation, and try to alter it to something favorable. In conclusion, although some might say that accepting a bad situation is for the best, in my opinion people need to improve their lives.

Driverless Vehicles: Advantages and Disadvantages

IELTS Writing Task 2

-

7.0
Response: It is predicted that all vehicles will be driven without human intervention in the future. As a matter of fact, transportation devices will be controlled automatically, and passengers will make up a hundred percent of people sitting in the vehicles. I think the positive points of this development are more significant than its drawbacks, which will be discussed in the following essay. One possible downside of the replacement of drivers by robots is taking the pleasure of driving. In many communities, driving is considered a hobby which brings happiness for the majority of people, especially the youngsters because this activity involves speed and excitement. There are even some competitions which are held between the most talented drivers who are skilled in driving different types of automobiles. In addition to this, many people go to specific stadiums in order to watch these exciting competitions because there is a great deal of hype in these races. Therefore, if all the cars are driven automatically, people will not have the chance to enjoy driving. On the contrary, if all the transferring devices are monitored by machines, safety will be brought to cities. According to a survey conducted in the USA, driven vehicles using cutting-edge subjects of study, including Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing, are safer. These kinds of knowledge have helped the mankind prevent the accidents taken place in the roads because during a short period of time, necessary actions can be done immediately. Moreover, it is possible that in the future, this technology improves, and cars driven by AI can have interaction with each other, so the risk of accidents can be minimized. Furthermore, if transportation devices, such as trucks and cars, are driven automatically, people engage themselves in other jobs, so countries can progress significantly, in terms of working aspects. There are a plenty of cars driven by many people whose their main jobs are driving taxis and buses, to name but a few. Thus, driving has restricted people to be employed in other businesses. Nevertheless, if vehicles become driverless, these people can choose other careers for themselves. As a result, businesses expand, which can transform the communities to dynamic societies. Therefore, working situations can progress if driverless vehicles appear. In conclusion, it is forecasted that driverless cars will replace cars driven by humans completely. While, it might have some demerits, namely elimination of the pleasure of driving, I claim that the benefits, such as declining car accidents and advancement of working conditions in communities, are more considerable.

Response: Saving money for the future is perceived as a crucial measure for young adults to take. I agree with this notion, because they need to guarantee a safe future for themselves, and be prepared for unforeseen events. First and foremost, young people have a long journey and it is vital to be prepared for any unfortunate issues in the future. Tomorrow is full of mystery, and people need to assure that they can overcome any obstacle that comes in their way. For example, with the emergence of Covid-19, many were made redundant. As a results, those unemployed underwent a tremendous stress to provide the basic necessities for their lives, when there was no job for them. Hence, tactful people do not rely solely on their monthly paycheck, and try to be prepared for the future by putting some money aside. Moreover, young people need to guarantee their own future, or their family. It is wise to invest money to achieve bigger dreams, like owning a land, or running their own business. Striving and desiring more are intertwined in our nature, therefore individuals are supposed to be farsighted. However, people need to be present in the moment, and enjoy their lives as much as they can, being concerned about future and preparing does not mean taking their time and youth for granted, and become anxious all the time. In conclusion, although it is wise to live in the moment, I believe individuals are required to save money for their future, whether for unpredicted problems or simply for providing comfort for themselves."

The Importance of Taking Risks in Life

Response: There is a controversial debate about whether individuals ought to take risk in their all circumstances of lives such as personal and occupation situations. I personally think that it is worthwhile to take risk in difficult situations and the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. In this essay, I will examine the pros and cons and eventually present my precise view. There is no doubt that taking risk in comprehensive opportunities is worthwhile and can reverse the situations. Some people are afraid of taking risk because of its perspective result, but can bring favorable condition for people. For instance, those who work in poor company with low level of job satisfaction, it is really beneficial for them to take risk and find another job. In fact, by taking risk and finding appropriate job, not only do they increase their income, which leads to prosperous life but also, they can possess good mental health by the better atmosphere of the new workplace. On the other hand, taking risk probably has its irreparable repercussions and possess detrimental impact on human life. For example, making some decisions in personal life such as spending significant amount of money on buying something online from unreliable stores leads to fraud and losing money. In addition, another significant disadvantage of risk is that people can lose their valuable things and deteriorate their condition of their life. As a result, risk has two verges, one side is success and another side is harm. To sum up, in many beliefs it is momentous to take risk in any conditions for people to enhance their situations. I personally believe that the advantages outweigh the drawbacks and whenever people find themselves in a negative opportunity, despite the anticipated obstacles they should take risk and get themselves the chance of improvement.

The Role of Competition and Cooperation in Society

Response: While some contend that competition is beneficial in different areas of one's life, others argue that cooperation should be prioritized. Although I acknowledge the importance of former approach, I have an inclination to gravitate towards the latter mentality. At individual and professional levels, competitions can bring about optimal benefits. Human beings are inherently looking forward to a lifestyle through which they can guarantee safety and avoid challenges. This approach, however, is in stark contrast with the desire to develop and climb the career ladder. Therefore, in order to progress and surpass the genetically coded aspiration for convenience, a catalyser is needed. Competition is an exemplary catalyst, which can motivate individuals to step out of their comfort zone, walk through uncharted territories, and unleash potential, ultimately contributing to individual self-growth and companies' profit generation. Secondly, competition can motivate students to accomplish a lot during their school years. It motivates children to work harder and bring about their optimal potential through standardized exams in order to secure a place of popularity among their peers. These trials can be really beneficial in the long term, as children learn to work diligently and foster a sense of resilience and patience, which serves them well during challenging times. However, the benefits of cooperation in finding thorough solutions and fostering invaluable skills among young individuals seem more profitable. As people learn to cooperate, they get a chance to observe a certain problem from various perspectives; each individual has their own mindset for resolving an issue, however, while cooperating, they consider their colleagues' viewpoint and can bring about a holistic solution that remedy the situation more effectively. Moreover, teaching students to work with their peers can benefit them in various ways. For instance, they learn teamwork skills and how to address issues without letting conflicts overwhelm their conversations. These valuable skills will serve them well in their future jobs and shape well-rounded citizens who value other people's interests as well as themselves. In conclusion, I personally believe that the advantages of cooperation outweigh that of competition.

The Importance of Taking Risks in Life

Response: One behavior that has major impact on peoples lives is taking risks, both in cariers or their family lives. I believe that paternity risk can be like gambling and in the same way it can cause addiction to repetition or divorce due to financial problems caused by paternity risk in capitalism or loss of money and job and sometimes people's lives. so I think the bad effects are more than good ones. On the one hand, in my opinion gambelling has two much similarity with being a risk taker. First, both may has a relatively big benefite or damage, they just can destroy a life with a little mistake, and that is not wisely, for example, one person has been always saving for his child future, but now he is tired of this situation and starts taking risks and invests in a foreign exchange trading market, but contrary to his expectations, the value of his stock falls the next week and thus his initial capital is halved. In addition his wife can not stand this situation and gets divorced. You may think it is a imaginery storey but infact it happend to my uncle, so that is how a risk can destroy a family. On the other hand, in some occasions taking wisely risk in necessary. But, some people stuck in where they are now and do not imagine any progress or promote in their carier or financial level, as they always scare of taking risk and loose whatever they already own. The benifites that comes with risking are overnight successes, improvements without such difficulties, migration to better places, or career advancements, or even marriage, because I think starting a family is a risk. In conclutio, I believe taking risk is somthing necessary in our lives otherwise we will stuck in wherever we are, but if we decide on it with open mind and thinking straghtily and dicide wisely, in addition if we do not do so we will se our self in a swamp of misery.

Advantages and Disadvantages of an Aging Population

Response: Some contend that the growing population of elderly people imposes burdens on governments' shoulders, while others believe that this demographic growth is far more beneficial in the face of its downturns. Although this phenomenon comes with its fair share of benefits, I have an inclination towards the former perspective. The higher number of elderly people offers benefits at both society and family levels. Elderly people are great sources of experience and knowledge. It is believed that their wisdom can be used in socioeconomic decisions in order to prevent repetitive errors. For instance, the knowledge and experience of an old person who lived during the Second World War can be used in order to address conflicts in their primary stages and prevent devastating consequences. Secondly, grandparents are a great help to working parents. In today's society, where parents spend most of their sociable hours in professional settings, having a reliable source to take care of their beloved children has a positive impact on both parents and their children's well-being. By alleviating stress levels and childcare concerns among parents and offering thorough care through which meaningful relationships can be built between grandparents and grandchildren, elderly people's presence provide invaluable advantages. However, the ever-growing population of this specific demographic not only imposes a further burden on the healthcare system but also endangers the society's economy. Old people have weak immunity systems and are more susceptible to diseases. As a result, they pay more visits to doctors and healthcare systems. For instance, polypharmacy and exorbitant prices of annual vaccinations are common problems that old citizens bring about. Furthermore, these retired citizens can have negative impacts on the economy. These people are usually unable to work efficiently at older ages and are asked to leave professional settings. Therefore, a growing population of this group presents a workforce shortage for industries, ultimately paralyzing the society's economy. Additionally, providing monthly pensions for elderly people is associated with higher taxes and more pressure on lucrative individuals. In conclusion, I am of the opinion that aging populations bring about problems that outweigh the advantages.
