Response: Some individuals believe that it is necessary to demonstrate crime-related news on television and daily newspapers, while others disagree with spreading these types of news. Although reading the news about illegal acts can result in chronic anxiety, I believe that this action raises public awareness. One the one hand, if TV programs allocate their time to give information about criminal acts occurring on a daily basis, the population will become more informed about what is happening around them. To be more exact, they will be capable of deciding how to react, without any hesitation. As a result, if they face similar situations, they will be less likely to become injured or lose their valuable possessions. For instance, watching documentaries about various kinds of violation broadens the horizon of parents about the potential threats against their children and gives them the opportunity to figure out favourable solutions. One other hand, constantly facing negative news about offences leads to chronic stress over time, which might be detrimental not only to their mental wellbeing, but also has a negative effect on their social interactions. In other words, they become upset because of the high volume of crime globally and assume that are not able to do something in order to solve this significant societal issue. Hence, they prefer to stay home rather than being prone to criminal activities, leading to social isolation in the long run. For instance, some people are worried about their smart phones being stolen due to some videos on news websites, which makes them stressed out when they are out. In conclusion, despite the fact that both views have their own merits, I believe that being exposed to news related to lawbreaking and robberies results in ncreased communal awareness.
