Nowadays, people do have access to transportation means and can transfer easily from time to time. While some believe that professionals, such as doctors and engineers should be free to work in other countries, I, however, firmly believe that experts need to work in the country they did their training. Some people believe that professionals should be free to work in other countries. It could be argued that experts who work in another country can bring expertise to bear on global issues. For example, a doctor can concentrate on infectious diseases in the scale of the world. Some believe that when someone works in a different community, they can learn from other cultures. Consequently, this process of working abroad may broaden their knowledge and might be effective in some ways. On the other hand, I completely believe that professionals should work in the environment that they had trained. First, they acquired their skills according to their country’s standards. For example, the rules of construction vary from country to country, and it is good for engineers to work in their own country. Second, experts are more familiar with their own country’s environment. Similarly, they may be more convenient with their colleague. For example, not only are lawyers trained with their own country’s rules, but they also can interact easily with their countrymen. The third and most important factor is that they should repay the country that invested in their education. In other words, they have had free education and now it is time for them to repay the government for the cost of their education by working in the country where they studied. All of this being said, although working in another country may lead experts to focus on global issues, it is good for professionals to stay in their own country to pay off government investment in training. Therefore, on balance, I wholeheartedly believe that professionals should stay in their own country, and work in their own community.
